Concerts

Over the years Gorey Choral Group has put on many concerts. The format and content of these concerts has varied depending on the time of year, the guest artists involved and the location for the production.

We have given small Christmas Carol concerts in the intimate setting of our local Methodist church. We have given much larger concerts with other choirs in the two larger churches in the town and Gorey Little Theatre.

We have had gala concerts that included the Arklow Silver Band and international singing stars including Deirdre Masterson and Anthony Kearns.

We have joined with other choirs including Enniscorthy Choral Society and Wexford Festival Singers for major productions including the world premiere of Ian Wilson's "Harbouring" in Wexford in 2008.

Recently we have given very successful concerts at Christmas in the Ashdown Park Hotel in Gorey. There concerts include Christmas Carols along with other choral music and light jazz. They are normally performed to a packed attendance and are the highlight of the Christmas season for some people.
